BOW PLAYGROUP

Bow Village Hall, Station Road, Bow, Crediton, Devon EX17 6HS

Chairperson: Lynne Mundy Pitman

Bow is a small village in Mid Devon. Our playgroup meets in the Village Hall and is registered to take up to 26 children aged from 3 - 5 years old. We are registered for Nursery Funding to provide up to 5 sessions of two and a half hours a week free of charge for 38 weeks per year, for children from the term after their third birthday until they reach compulsory school age.

Since the introduction of Ofsted inspections, our group has received good reports, the most recent being in November 2007. In June 2002 we became an Accredited group using the Preschool Learning Alliance's Aiming for Quality Scheme. This is a continuing process reviewed annually to ensure standards are maintained and updated as necessary. We acheived Reaccreditation in November 2005.

We have a well qualified experienced staff and an active parents' committee working together to ensure our group offers the best quality care and education possible, suitable for this age range. We have a good relationship with the local primary school and visit the school regularly with the oldest group of our children to help the transition to school to be as easy as possible for them.
